a reimagining of the traditional audio tour, eschewing the didactic and bringing Philadelphian voices to the fore

We're very proud to share our most recent collaboration with The Philadelphia Museum of Art as it launches the new audio experience, Unscripted, in conjunction with the long-anticipated exhibition A Nation of Artists, in partnership with the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.

Unscripted is a reimagining of the traditional audio tour, eschewing the didactic and bringing Philadelphian voices to the work, offering insights and experiences inspired by the pieces in A Nation of Artists. SOUND MADE PUBLIC conducted over 25 interviews by our own inimitable Tania Ketenjian, finding the heartfelt connection between people and art, and the ways in which it can reflect on your life.

As the first phase of Unscripted goes live, you'll have the opportunity to hear from comedian and actress Abbi Jacobson, documentary filmmaker Louis J. Massiah, actor and producer Daniel Dae Kim, sports commentator Merrill Reese, author and collector John Whitenight, chef and immigration activist Cristina Martinez, Native American scholar and artist Hayden Haynes, urban designer Lindsey Scannapieco, rower and olympic gold medalist Justin Best, dancer and choreographer Joan Myers Brown, artist, mural painter and community organizer Jane Golden, and A Nation of Artists’ co-curator, Alexandra Kirtley.
